Given the support needed, Baan Kingkaew students develop into good, healthy citizens

The Asian financial crisis and  recent economic turmoil have meant earnings from the Foundation’s endowment  are too small to meet the annual costs of serving the children in our care. The Foundation is grateful for financial support provided by Chiang Mai Provincial Authority, Chiang Mai Public Welfare Dept. and the Social Welfare Council of Thailand, as well as for the generosity of numerous private donors. Unfortunately this official funding covers only part of our costs  and we must continue to solicit donations to help our children through this difficult period.

The babies and young children at Baan Kingkaew as well as the older children in our Scholarship Program have been given a chance to see light at the end of a dark tunnel that began with their unlucky start to life. Their opportunity for a better future depends on a society willing to help them develop.

Ways you can help

Can you help the children? Here’s how you might support them…

• As a donor Friend of Baan Kingkaew you will help to fund an effective, loving and nurturing home for young orphans needing care. For example a donation of US$100 or approx Baht 3,000 will feed 50 children for 1 day. US $80 per month (approx Baht 2,500/mth.) will support the needs of 1 child.
  
  If you would like to make the commitment to sponsor a single orphan for a year ($960 or Baht30,000), a monthly direct debit payment may be arranged with the bank. Please contact Chiangmai Orphanage Foundation to arrange this.
  
   Large or small, whatever you can afford, your donation will be a life-line gift for these children. A Friend of Baan Kingkaew is a friend to our children for life and we’ll send you a yearly report on how Friend’s donations are helping todevelop the lives of the children at Baan Kingkaew Wiboolsanti.
